Finding the right personal trainer has been important for me to reach my fitness goals as well as someone who understands those goals and can help me to achieve them! Having stumbled across a business card of a personal trainer in my area I decided this is a sign to take the plunge! I have always been into my fitness however as a lot of people that go through the lull of feeling comfortable in joggers eating rubbish and not working out I started to feel my energy levels decrease not to mention my figure getting a bit more rounded and less of a toned shape!

I love outdoor training so to discover this PT offered this and local was a no brainer! What have I got to loose right? Right! From my initial telephone consultation with Chris who runs Smart Personal Training to my following sessions I have not been disappointed. I would go as far to say it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Chris Nixon has an extremely friendly approachable yet professional manner. Chris really did listen to my fitness goals and gave me tons of reassurance as well as being realistic as to what I would be looking at in order to achieve where I wanted to be.

With my first session booked I was really eager to get started. We met in the park which was perfect for the outdoor space. Chris arrived with the fitness equipment needed to get started. Chris is very easy to get on with and made me feel instantly at ease.

Chris went through each exercise thoroughly, then it was time to step up! I have to say I really threw myself into it. Having not worked out for so long I actually found Chris to be so full of encouragement. Chris could instantly see what level of fitness I was at and pushed me Just enough that I felt the benefit yet not too scared to continue. In fact I was left with these five words “when is the next one”?

Chris has not only helped me with my fitness goals he has helped with my nutrition goals too which do go hand in hand(healthy eating and fitness) really is the key here.

I have now had several training sessions with Chris so I am still in the early result stages. However in such a short space of time my energy has increased and I feel I have more stamina. I am already seeing some changes too as well as focusing on my eating habits having sent Chris a food diary! Chris instantly knew where I was lacking food wise for a healthy balanced diet.

Chris is clearly passionate about his work and has found his niche working with individuals to reach their fitness goals. I can not rate him highly enough. If you are looking for a friendly yet professional person who really encourages you and pushes you to a level that is right for you and want to see long term results then book Chris!

I now look forward to my next sessions. It is enjoyable and rewarding. My only regret is I did not discover Chris sooner!
